Interactive Government Holdings takes a keen interest in hiring our nation’s military veterans. Our veterans bring professionalism, unique experiences and mission dedication to every task before them. Recently we shared the uplifting story of our IGH team in Vermont working with local partners to help a homeless World War II vet.

In this post, we’ll highlight the work of our IGH team in Ohio. Led by Program Manager Bradley Moeller, a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard, our team assists the National Guard Employment Enhancement Program.

Bradley and his team assist military service members so that they can be successful in their personal and military careers. Earlier this month, Bradley supported the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Statement of Support Ceremony in Columbus with event planning, sending invitations to participate to Ohio companies and day-of operations.

The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Statement of Support Ceremony on July 9 sought to highlight this national Department of Defense program, recognize the public-private partnerships that make it a reality and encourage more employers to support and hire military members, veterans and family members.

The ceremony, held outside the National Veterans Memorial and Museum included many faces familiar to Ohioans. Among the speakers were Ohio Lt. Governor Jon Husted, CEO of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum Lt. General Michael Ferriter (Ret.), Director of the Ohio Department of Veteran Services Maj. General Deborah Ashenhurst (Ret.), Ohio Chamber of Commerce President and former U.S. Rep. Brigadier General Steve Stivers, and Deputy Assistant Adjutant General Brigadier General Gary McCue. The ceremony can be viewed on YouTube.

Lt. Gov. Husted said as he signed a Statement of Support, “Ohio businesses have a proud tradition of hiring guard and reserve members and supporting them during their service and deployments. The qualities they possess such as discipline, teamwork and critical thinking make them excellent employees, and Ohio is proud to sign this Statement of Support.”

Even as the excitement from the ceremony fades, Bradley and our Ohio team will continue working with Ohio employers to make them aware of the ESGR and the Statement of Support Program.

Employers signing a statement of support pledge that:
We fully recognize, honor, and comply with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.
We will provide our managers and supervisors with the tools they need to effectively manage employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve.
We appreciate the values, leadership, and unique skills Service members bring to the workforce and will encourage opportunities to hire Guardsmen, Reservists, and Veterans.
We will continually recognize and support our country’s Service members and their families, in peace, in crises, and in war.

Employers wishing to sign the Statement of Support can do so at: www.esgr.mil/Employers/Statement-of-Support.

Thanks, Bradley and team, for your tireless support of our Ohio Guard and Reserve members, veterans and their families.
