Veterans Institute for Procurement (VIP) is a national comprehensive training program for veteran business owners to take a 27-hour class learning about government contracting from renowned leaders in the field. VIP is made possible by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce as well as the U.S. Small Business Administration and many supportive donors. VIP has graduated nearly 1,500 veterans since 2009 from all 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico and Guam.
In a recent survey of VIP graduates, over 63 percent reported increased revenue within the first year of graduation. IGH’s CEO, Michael Sanders, is a 2014 graduate and has seen accelerated business growth following his graduation. Today, Sanders serves on the VIP Board of Directors and the VIP Golf Tournament Committee and typically addresses VIP classes with lessons learned to help veterans grow their businesses.
