Interactive Government Holdings Increases Veteran Hiring Rate; Receives HIRE Vets Platinum Medallion Award for Second Consecutive Year

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Labor announced HIRE Vets Medallion Award winners and for the second consecutive year, Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) received the Platinum Medallion Award for its high number of veteran hires. IGH increased its veteran hiring rate from 35 percent in 2019 to 41 percent in 2020.

The award was conferred to IGH during a virtual award ceremony at the U.S. Department of Labor on Nov. 10.

In IGH’s application for the award, the company noted a commitment to serving its veteran employees with a Veterans’ Advocacy Group, special recognitions for veterans, mentoring opportunities and ensuring veteran employees are positioned to enhance their leadership skills. IGH is a verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and has many veterans in leadership roles throughout the company.

The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program, signed into law in 2017, is the only federal award program to credit businesses for creating job opportunities for veterans.

The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is earned by businesses that demonstrate unparalleled commitment to attracting, hiring and retaining veterans.
