The following is a brief Q&A with Kevin about working at IGH.
Q. How does IGH help you grow professionally?
A. I have been shadowing my fellow colleagues since I started a year ago. Most of my fellow employment coaches have extensive experience in staffing and networking. They have all helped me grow professionally within this job.
Q. How did your military service prepare you for your current career?
A. By helping me understand and focus on critical elements such as teamwork, initiative, stress management, physical fitness and most of all responsibility. The U.S. Army definitely helped me develop these critical areas.
Q. What would you tell someone considering a career at IGH?
A. To be able to work independently, multitask effectively and have a passion to support our service members and their families everyday regardless of the time of day. Most service members don’t have a normal 0900 –1700 schedule. Just be mindful of that.
